Asus XG27ACMG (IPS Panel, Res: 2560X1440, 270Hz, 1ms GTG ) 2K
The ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACMG is a 27-inch gaming monitor that strikes the perfect balance between sharp visuals and lightning-fast performance, making it an excellent choice for competitive and immersive gaming alike. With a Fast IPS panel at a crisp 2560 × 1440 (2K) resolution, it delivers clear, detailed images and vibrant colors, covering 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and about 125% of sRGB, which makes it suitable not only for gaming but also for light content creation. Its standout feature is the ultra-smooth 270 Hz refresh rate (overclocked) combined with a rapid 1 ms GTG response time, ensuring fluid motion with minimal input lag—ideal for esports and fast-paced titles. ASUS has also integrated ELMB Sync, which allows motion blur reduction to work alongside adaptive sync technologies, virtually eliminating ghosting and tearing at the same time. The monitor supports HDR10 and DisplayHDR 400, adding extra brightness and contrast for more vibrant visuals, though its HDR is limited compared to higher-end OLED displays. Connectivity is future-proof with HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode plus 15W power delivery, giving flexibility to connect PCs, laptops, and even consoles. Its fully adjustable stand provides tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments, while the 100 × 100 mm VESA mount ensures compatibility with monitor arms. Despite its strengths, the panel’s peak brightness is average at around 400 nits, and like most IPS displays, it suffers from limited contrast and possible IPS glow in darker scenes. The anti-glare coating, while reducing reflections, can introduce a slight “graininess” on light backgrounds, which some users may notice. Overall, the ASUS XG27ACMG is a premium 2K gaming monitor that combines high refresh rates, strong color performance, and versatile connectivity, offering a fantastic balance of speed and detail for gamers who want both competitive advantage and immersive visual quality.
