SKYLOONG GK104-Optical
The SKYLOONG GK104-Optical 8K is a full-sized mechanical keyboard designed for users who demand exceptional speed, precision, and customization. Featuring advanced optical switches and an incredible 8000Hz polling rate, this keyboard delivers lightning-fast input response, making it a top-tier choice for competitive gamers and professionals who need every millisecond to count.
At the heart of the GK104 lies its optical switch technology. Unlike traditional mechanical switches, optical switches use light-based actuation, resulting in faster response times, reduced debounce delay, and significantly longer lifespan. The switches are also hot-swappable, compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin configurations, allowing users to customize their typing experience without the need for soldering.
The keyboard sports a standard 104-key layout but introduces an innovative programmable split spacebar. This feature gives users the freedom to assign individual functions to each half or revert to a traditional spacebar layout, depending on their preference. Dual rotary knobs are also integrated into the design, allowing for intuitive control over media, volume, lighting, and macros. Users can expand knob usage by adding up to six knobs in total, depending on their setup.
Build quality is another strong point of the GK104. It features a high-quality ABS case paired with a polycarbonate (PC) plate for enhanced stability and durability. Internally, the keyboard includes a multi-layer acoustic structure made up of sound-dampening foams, silicone pads, and a gasket mount design. These components work together to minimize unwanted noise and deliver a soft, satisfying typing sound and feel.
Connectivity is handled via a USB-C wired connection, ensuring consistent power and data transfer. Thanks to the 8000Hz polling rate, the keyboard communicates with the computer up to 8,000 times per second—significantly faster than standard keyboards—providing near-instant keypress registration.
